Optidrive E3
General purpose compact drive for machines, conveyors, fans and small pumps. Fast to set up, with built-in PI control.
- Single and three phase input
- Built-in PI controller and Modbus RTU
- Compact side-by-side mounting
Drives are where energy saving becomes real: throttle a pump with a valve and you pay for the pressure drop forever. We size, supply and commission Optidrive units across the Ankleshwar belt.
Five families, each tuned to a duty. Choosing the right one matters more than shaving a few percent off the price — a general purpose drive on a hard constant-torque load will trip, and a high performance drive on a fan is money spent for nothing.
Full load current, kW, voltage and duty. Add the load type — pump, fan, mixer, hoist — and we will confirm the frame, the rating and whether you need a line reactor or brake resistor.
| Application | Load type | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Centrifugal pump, cooling tower fan | Variable torque | Optidrive Eco |
| Conveyor, blower, small machine | Light constant torque | Optidrive E3 |
| Agitator, extruder, crusher, hoist | Heavy constant torque | Optidrive P2 |
| Refrigeration compressor | Compressor duty | Optidrive Coolvert |
| ETP pump, washdown area, outdoor | Any, harsh environment | IP66 switched drive |
Size on motor full load current, not kW alone, then check the load type. Variable torque loads take a standard duty rating; heavy constant torque loads need heavy duty rating and often one frame larger. Starting torque, cycle rate and ambient temperature all shift the answer.
Yes. IP66 units with integral disconnect are designed for washdown and outdoor mounting, which removes the cost of an air-conditioned drive room in food, chemical and effluent plants.
Yes — parameter setting, motor auto-tune, PI loop configuration and fault diagnosis, plus warranty coordination with Invertek as their authorised channel partner.
Drives draw non-linear current, so harmonic distortion rises even when displacement PF looks healthy. In a plant with many drives, capacitor banks must be detuned — see power factor correction — and where THD is high, line reactors or filters are worth costing in.
